As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, Amazon is doing everything they can to keep their employees as safe as possible. Across its operations, Amazon has invested more than $4 billion from April to June on COVID-19 safety measures. This includes spending more than $800 million on safety supplies such as masks, hand sanitizer, thermal cameras, sanitizing wipes, gloves, adding disinfectant spraying in buildings and procuring COVID testing supplies, along with redeploying team members from their typical roles to perform safety related tasks and audits at sites around the world like “social distancing ambassadors” to team members helping with temperature checks.
Amazon’s teams are adjusting rapidly implementing policy changes on a daily, and sometimes hourly, basis to support our employees and customers. We're continually learning and reinforcing protocols through a variety of channels to ensure all our associates understand and abide by our safety procedures.
