Las Vegas—December 3, 2025 – Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that Manus, the world’s first general purpose AI agent, has chosen AWS as its strategic cloud service provider. Built on AWS's proven global infrastructure and industry-leading cloud and generative AI services, Manus is accelerating the development of its autonomous AI agent to serve users globally, while maintaining data security, reliability and compliance.
Manus launched the world's first fully autonomous AI agent in March 2025 using AWS. Manus is powered by general-purpose intelligent agents with independent thinking, dynamic planning and autonomous decision-making capabilities. The system efficiently executes multi-step tasks across both every day and professional scenarios, delivering results - not just answers - in an intuitive and structured format. Only four months after the launch of its subscription model, Manus had reached a $90 million revenue run rate.
Manus uses Amazon Bedrock's unified model governance system and enterprise-grade security architecture to quickly deploy the most suitable model capabilities. Model capabilities are based on actual scenarios for natural language understanding, task decomposition, solution planning, code generation and debugging, and other complex workflows, significantly improving research and development (R&D) and delivery efficiency.
To ensure secure and efficient task execution, Manus leverages Firecracker, AWS's open-source lightweight virtualization technology, to create a secure and low-latency operating environment. The combination of isolated sandbox environments with Firecracker and E2B cluster scheduling enables millisecond-level instance launches while maintaining complete isolation between tasks, creating a robust security barrier.
Manus implemented a managed and serverless architecture using Amazon Aurora Serverless, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), AWS Glue and Amazon Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (Amazon MSK) to address traffic fluctuations amid rapid business growth. This architecture enables automatic resource scaling while ensuring high availability, stable response times and lower costs. As a result, Manus has achieved an approximately 60% reduction in development and operations staffing requirements, 70% improvement in overall operational efficiency and 68% decrease in computing costs. These improvements allow the team to redirect more resources toward product innovation and feature development.
Using AWS, Manus can manage tens of thousands of sandbox instances with only three operations personnel. Each sandbox instance launches in approximately 125 milliseconds, consuming just 5MiB of memory, allowing a single server to run thousands of concurrent instances. This high-density deployment capability not only supports rapid response to high-concurrency tasks but also significantly improves resource utilization, delivering a more secure and seamless user experience.
"AWS has been an important technology partner to Manus. Its strong infrastructure and technical capabilities have played a meaningful role in helping us build a reliable global agent architecture and product. AWS’s capabilities enable us to advance innovation, performance, security and worldwide deployment,” said Tao Zhang, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer of Manus. “Looking ahead, we will continue to deepen our collaboration with AWS, building more intelligent and efficient application architectures to drive further product innovation.”
"The success of Manus illustrates how AWS empowers builders to push the boundaries of AI agent technology," said Carol Potts, General Manager, North America ISV Sales at AWS."By leveraging Amazon Bedrock's flexible model access and our secure, scalable infrastructure, Manus has created an autonomous agent that serves millions globally. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to providing the tools that turn ambitious AI visions into reality."
