NEW YORK, December 1, 2025— Visa (NYSE: V) and Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), an Amazon.com, Inc. company (NASDAQ: AMZN), today announced a collaboration designed to empower developers and enterprises building towards agentic commerce. Visa will list the Visa Intelligence Commerce platform in AWS Marketplace, helping businesses and developers to connect seamlessly to a growing ecosystem of agentic commerce providers for next-generation reliable and secure payment experiences. AWS and Visa will also publish blueprints on the public Amazon Bedrock AgentCore repository designed for multi-network agentic retail shopping, travel booking, and payment reconciliation, enabling developers to create and connect complex workflows. Through this collaboration, AWS and Visa are committed to advancing agentic workloads and commerce capabilities on AWS, with Visa deploying MCP tools to help enable fully integrated, end-to-end agentic commerce solutions on the platform.
Visa Intelligent Commerce will be available in AWS Marketplace
Visa Intelligence Commerce in AWS Marketplace helps provide businesses and developers with access to critical agentic payment tools like authentication, agentic tokenization, data personalization, and user intent capture.
Visa and AWS will publish open blueprints for intelligent agentic workflows
Visa and AWS will be providing blueprints on the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore public repository that developers and businesses can access to help create work-agnostic agentic commerce workflows capable of reasoning, acting, and transacting across industries. Visa and AWS are working with various industry partners including Expedia Group, Intuit, lastminute.com, Eurostars Hotel Company, and others as part of the blueprint design and reviews. The blueprints are designed for developers, solution architects, fintech builders, and independent software vendors (ISVs) who want to accelerate the creation of agentic commerce workflows. Each blueprint is designed to work with the Visa Intelligent Commerce MCP Server and APIs, enabling secure, tokenized, and contextual payments with additional support for multi-network commerce flows coming soon. At the heart of the blueprints is Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, managing agentic workflows using AgentCore Identity, Runtime, Gateway, Memory, and Observability. Visa and AWS are working to enable a foundation for agentic commerce at scale, where transactions are handled by agents capable of real-time reasoning and coordination.
These composable, reusable workflows provide structure for travel booking and retail shopping agents, with upcoming B2B and payment network agnostic use cases, creating a common fabric for digital commerce and financial automation. The Travel Booking Agent blueprint combines a general travel exploration agent with specialized agents for flights, lodging, car rentals, and activities to deliver a seamless end-to-end booking experience. It is supported by a payment agent workflow that integrates with Visa’s MCP server and APIs to ensure secure transactions. The Retail Shopping Agent blueprint enables end-to-end shopping experiences from product discovery to comparing prices, shipping, discounts, cart management, loyalty, checkout payments, tracking orders, and returns. The B2B Payment Agent will manage supplier payments and reconciliation, integrating with ERP, CRM, Accounting, and Banking systems.
Rubail Birwadker, SVP, Global Head of Growth, Visa, said: “Agentic commerce needs trust to move from intent to action; Visa Intelligent Commerce is designed to be the trust layer for the agent economy and together with Visa Acceptance can provide the infrastructure for secure, network-agnostic transactions. With AWS’s scalable cloud capabilities and Visa’s global payment network, Visa Intelligent Commerce enables AI agents to transact securely and contextually at scale—helping to unlock faster innovation for developers and better experiences for consumers and businesses worldwide.”
David Richardson, VP of AgentCore, AWS, said: “Today, commerce is fragmented across multiple systems and intermediaries. Visa Intelligent Commerce and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore simplify this by allowing agents to communicate securely and autonomously, with standardized integration via Amazon Bedrock AgentCore blueprints, and embedded payments via Visa MCP Server or APIs. Through Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Visa’s secure agentic commerce APIs and MCP server in the AWS Marketplace, we are going to make it super simple for AWS customers to build and deploy agents and agent tools.”
Visa Intelligent Commerce is designed to enable AI agents to transact securely and autonomously on behalf of users. For example, you can tell your AI agent to “Buy me basketball game tickets if the price drops below $150” and the AI agent will be instructed to execute those tasks on behalf of the user. The platform supports core agentic commerce use cases, such as comparison and purchases for shopping agents or travel booking agents, like Expedia Group, and enablement agents for payments. With Visa Intelligent Commerce, developers can easily combine and reconfigure new applications and services.
Karen Bolda, Chief Product and Technology Officer, B2B, Expedia Group, said: “We’re excited to team up with AWS and Visa to advance agentic architectures in travel for our B2B partners. Through Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Visa Intelligent Commerce, we can deliver next-generation travel experiences where exploration, booking, and payment seamlessly connect through agents to simplify global travel.”
Saurav Sharma, Vice President of Product Management, Intuit, said: "We are excited to connect Intuit’s financial intelligence, Visa Intelligent Commerce, and AWS’s agentic cloud capabilities. We’re at the beginning of a powerful new collaboration that will allow us to build done-for-you experiences to help our customers make smarter, faster financial decisions year-round - not just at tax time - transforming how they manage money, plan for their future, and achieve lasting financial freedom."
Marina López, Corporate Director, Eurostars Hotel Company, said: "In a sector that evolves at great speed, staying ahead requires collaborating with those who lead innovation. We are taking a decisive step toward connected hospitality, where bookings, services, and payments flow intelligently. This collaboration reflects our vision: to anticipate the future and constantly transform the traveler’s experience."
