HANOI, VIETNAM, SEPTEMBER 29, 2026 - Techcom Securities Joint Stock Company (TCBS), one of Vietnam’s leading technology-driven securities firms, today announced that it has fully adopted Kiro, an agentic AI-powered software development environment from Amazon Web Services (AWS), across its entire engineering organization.
Over 460 TCBS staff now use Kiro, including all of its engineers, including an additional 40% of users in non-technical roles. Proprietary trading teams are one such non-tech role, where they are rapidly deploying Python-based trading strategies from research to production to serve TCBS’ over 1.3 million active investors.
Kiro uses AI agents to autonomously write, test, and iterate code based on developer intent, reducing manual efforts across the software development lifecycle. It offers spec-based coding, an approach where AI agents write and verify specifications before generating any code.
"Our vision is to make TCBS the most technologically advanced securities firm in Vietnam. In the securities industry, the ability to rapidly launch new trading products directly determines competitive advantage and revenue growth," said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TCBS. “Adopting Kiro across our entire organisation has changed the economics of innovation for TCBS, enabling us to ship financial products faster, respond to market opportunities more quickly, and deliver more value to our investors.”
TCBS’s adoption of Kiro marks the latest chapter in a technology transformation that began in 2020. The company first rebuilt its infrastructure as a cloud-native platform on AWS, scaling its active customer base nearly nine times and its stock trading market share roughly four times over the following four years. From 2024, TCBS shifted to an AI-native model, embedding machine learning and generative AI into customer engagement - nearly doubling the number of active customers it serves with personalized, data-driven experiences. AI usage across the organization has since grown roughly eight times, now translating into measurable output: a 25% reduction in feature-delivery time, and an approximate eight times increase in financial research productivity for market and listed-company reports.
Full-Scale AI Adoption Drives Faster Product Delivery
Over 41% of financial services organizations in Vietnam now actively deploy AI, with 79% reporting productivity gains, according to the Unlocking Vietnam’s AI Potential 2026 report from Amazon Web Services and Strand Partners. TCBS—which pioneered a zero-broker WealthTech model, staffs over 50% of its workforce in technology roles, and has applied AI in wealth management since 2017 - now embeds GenAI across its entire organization.
Mr. Vo Kim Ngoc, Director of Software Engineering at TCBS, said: "With Kiro, TCBS has redesigned its engineering organisation to create a leaner operating model that expands delivery capacity without reducing headcount. We merged the Developer and Quality Engineer roles into a single 'Engineer' role with end-to-end ownership - from writing code to testing and deployment - eliminating handoff delays that previously slowed every release cycle."
This change has already been felt - TCBS delivered three major platform capabilities in a single quarter, each ahead of schedule and now contributing directly to revenue generation or regulatory compliance:
- Equity Capital Markets (iPO) platform: Vietnam's first fully online IPO investment experience, built into the TCInvest app so investors can browse company information, place orders, and pay in a few automated steps with real-time tracking. Its scale was proven in TCBS's own August 2025 iPO, where 90% of successful subscriptions ran through the iPO platform over 26,220 investors, with demand reaching more than 2.5x oversubscription.
Non-Prefunding (NPF) for foreign institutional investors: Vietnam currently requires foreign investors to deposit 100% of funds before placing buy orders - a structural barrier that prevents many global institutional funds from accessing the market. TCBS's NPF capability allows foreign institutions to trade first and settle later and is aligned with international standards. Built ahead of Vietnam’s FTSE Russell upgrade to Emerging Market status in September 2026, the system supports a trading limit exceeding VND 1 trillion across more than 50 eligible stocks, readying TCBS to capture institutional inflows from day one.
- TCWealth Goal-Based Investing: An all-new advisory platform helping investors construct portfolios matched to specific financial goals and risk appetite. Rolled out from April 2026, it has already attracted over 40,000 users with a 49.8% conversion rate.
Kiro has helped TCBS reduce development time by nearly 25% from backlog to product release - while maintaining rigorous quality standards. Approximately 70% of AI-generated code passes review on the first attempt, with failures fed back into the agentic loop both to fix the code, as well as continually improve the system. To-date, zero production incidents have been attributed to AI-generated code, and TCBS’ platform uptime remains at 99.9%.
TCBS also relies on AWS services including Amazon Bedrock to automatically analyze all AI inference calls for security risks, and AWS Security Hub to monitor security. TCBS also ensures personally identifiable information (PII) data is appropriately masked before processing.
“TCBS is a remarkable example of what happens when a company embeds AI end to end, from core business innovation to customer service,” said Mr. Eric Yeo, Country General Manager, AWS Vietnam. “Their approach demonstrates how generative AI can drive real business outcomes in financial services - not just efficiency gains, but fundamentally faster paths to revenue. AWS is proud to work with forward-thinking financial institutions like TCBS to create the next frontier of AI innovation.”
Next: AI-Powered Tools for Every Team
TCBS plans to further extend AI adoption across its teams by scaling AI automation and coding with Kiro, empowering non-technical teams to build their own business tools. The company is now investing in building a proprietary knowledge base curated from expert insights to unify institutional knowledge across departments - from product expertise to investment research to customer profiles - enabling both AI agents and relationship managers to deliver faster, more informed service. TCBS is also developing more AI-powered products that deliver personalized investment experiences to each of its millions of customers.
