David Zapolsky is Amazon's Chief Global Affairs & Legal Officer, leading the company's worldwide legal, policy, and regulatory functions. Before assuming his current position, he served for more than 23 years in a variety of legal and policy roles at Amazon, including as General Counsel since 2012. Prior to Amazon, he practiced law at leading firms in Seattle and New York and served as a Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney. Zapolsky, a Berkeley Law and Columbia College graduate, founded Amazon's pro bono program and actively contributes to various legal, education, and civic organizations, demonstrating his commitment to legal service and community engagement.
