Chandigarh, 5th December 2019: Amazon India today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation Limited, Government of Punjab to conduct workshops to enable MSME exporters to export their products and reach out to millions of our customers across 180+ countries through Amazon Global Selling Program. The MoU will help MSMEs the state to benefit through e-commerce. As part of the MoU, Amazon will conduct trainings and on-boarding workshops at key MSME clusters in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Patiala and Bathinda in order to help MSME Exporters getting onboard Amazon’s 12 international marketplaces.
By bolstering ecommerce support for the MSME Exporters of Punjab, Amazon India will play a vital role in helping them be a part of and benefit from India’s booming digital economy. The partnerships with various departments of Government of Punjab intends to empower and generate livelihood opportunities and help them find a wider buyer base and fetch the right price for the products.
