SINGAPORE—June 26, 2025— Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com company, and Digital Industry Singapore (DISG), today announced the launch of AI Springboard, with the aim to empower 300 Singapore-based enterprises to scale AI across their operations over the next 12 months. The AI Springboard offers enterprises up to S$600,000 in cloud credits and training support to fast-track their AI transformation journeys. This initiative extends AWS’s efforts to support AI adoption in Singapore, building on AWS AI Spring, an initiative launched in 2024 to build AI fluency across Singapore's public sector, workforce, enterprises, startups, communities, and research institutions.
The AI Springboard is a key program under the Singapore Government’s Enterprise Compute Initiative (ECI) that was unveiled during Singapore’s 2025 Budget statement. Under the ECI, up to S$150 million will be set aside to help Singapore-based enterprises leverage AI more effectively in their transformation journey. The initiative will enable eligible companies to partner with major cloud service providers and appointed consultant partners to access cloud computing, advisory and technical implementation services, and specialized training programs.
"Singapore is taking decisive steps to strengthen our position as a leading digital economy and AI hub in Asia," said Philbert Gomez, Senior Vice President, Head and Executive Director, Digital Industry Singapore. "The Enterprise Compute Initiative combines access to compute and expert consultancy, to support Singapore businesses in leveraging AI to sharpen their competitive edge. We are excited to partner with leading global technology companies, like AWS, whose deep capabilities and expertise will be instrumental to these efforts. Through the AWS AI Springboard, companies across all sectors will be empowered to accelerate their AI innovation from Singapore."
The AWS AI Springboard aims to support up to 300 Singapore-based enterprises—including large corporations, small and medium-sized businesses, and local startups—by offering comprehensive resources to fast-track their AI transformation journeys.
AWS will provide up to S$600,000 in total cloud credits and training support per enterprise through the AI Springboard program, consisting of a baseline of S$350,000 in dedicated AI Springboard cloud credits and training with additional cloud credits available through complementary AWS support programs for qualifying companies. These include the AWS Migration Acceleration Program, which helps organizations offset the initial costs of moving workloads to the cloud, and AWS Lift, a program that provides technical and financial support to accelerate cloud adoption. This comprehensive package complements the Singapore Government's support of 70% of consultancy costs, capped at S$105,000 per enterprise. AI Springboard enterprises will also have access to AWS's newly launched Innovation Hub, the company's first 8,000 square-foot multi-million-dollar facility in Singapore where enterprises can interact hands-on with AWS and Amazon technologies and develop practical transformation roadmaps using the Working Backwards methodology. Other features of the program for participating businesses include:
- Implementation partners: Work with approved consultancy partners including AWS Partners AiRTS and Temus to build and develop AI solutions through AI Centers of Excellence that achieve Minimum Viable Product status, a meaningful first step into AI implementation before large-scale rollout.
- Technical resources: Receive expert guidance from the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center team of data scientists and AI engineers that includes best practices for responsible AI development, and monthly hands-on workshops focused on advanced services like generative AI assistant, Amazon Q.
- Skills development: Receive AWS Skill Builder 2025 subscriptions for continuous learning and benefit from the AWS Career Launchpad that offers training subsidies including subsidized salary support for learners, in collaboration with training partner Trainocate.
“Singapore has always been at the forefront of digital innovation, and the Enterprise Compute Initiative is a timely catalyst for the next wave of AI-driven transformation,” said Priscilla Chong, Country Manager, AWS Singapore. “With AWS AI Springboard, we’re bringing together the full depth of our cloud and AI capabilities, hands-on expertise, and talent development programs to help enterprises in Singapore turn ambitious ideas into real-world impact. We’re proud to support this national effort to scale innovation with speed, confidence, and purpose.”
The AWS AI Springboard is open to enterprises across all sectors, that are registered in Singapore with a valid Unique Entity Number (UEN), subject to meeting the ECI’s eligibility criteria, that includes experience in building a custom AI solution for a proof-of-concept. AWS AI Springboard was officially launched at a special event on June 26, 2025, featuring Guest of Honor Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and the Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth (MCCY) Ms. Low Yen Ling, alongside demonstrations of AWS's latest AI capabilities and detailed briefings on the program benefits.
