Customers need to spend just £15 for free UK delivery this holiday
October 25, 2005: Amazon.co.uk, the leading online retailer, today announced a new reduced free delivery threshold of £15 - in time for Christmas.
Ryan Regan, Managing Director of Amazon.co.uk, said: “Customers now need to spend just £15 to have their Christmas gifts delivered for free in the UK - making Christmas shopping at Amazon.co.uk even better value”
Effective immediately, Amazon.co.uk’s new £15 threshold for Free Super Saver Delivery covers all the retailers products, from books, DVDs and CDs through to its Home and Garden range and Christmas favourites Toys and Games.
The reduction means that plenty of this season’s hottest gifts-such as ‘Star Wars: Revenge of The Sith’, the DVD of England’s Ashes triumph, the PC version of Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and Nigel Slater’s best selling “The Kitchen Diaries” will now be delivered in the UK for free.
Amazon.co.uk’s millions of customers will benefit from this new pricing. On its busiest day during the Christmas season last year (2004), Amazon.co.uk dispatched 400 000 packages.
