New album 'Up All Night' out today with 500 signed copies available for just £3.99 as part of Amazon.co.uk's 'Black Friday Deals Week'
November 21, 2011:
21st November 2011 – Today boy band One Direction celebrated the release of their new album 'Up All Night' and the start of Amazon.co.uk's Black Friday Deals Week with a special appearance at the Amazon fulfilment centre in Milton Keynes.
The boys were working hard signing and sorting copies of their debut album. As part of Black Friday Deals Week, 500 signed copies of 'Up All Night' will be sold for just £3.99 as a 'Lightning Deal' on Wednesday 23rd November.
As well as giving Amazon employees a helping hand, heartthrobs Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson helped gift wrap the first wave of customer orders of their new album and took part in a "gift-wrap challenge" to see which of them could wrap a CD the fastest.
Band member Louis Tomlinson proved his wrapping prowess by completing the challenge in just 15.9 seconds. He said "Today's been an awesome day. It was crazy standing next to thousands of copies of our first ever album and signing so many for Black Friday Deals Week. The highlight had to be beating Zayn and Harry in the gift-wrap challenge but I'm paying for it now with some serious paper cuts!"
Amazon.co.uk's Black Friday Deals Week takes place from Monday 21st November until Friday 25th November with five days of high discount, limited time, limited quantity deals on over 500 products - twice as many as last year. Some of the other bargains available this year include over £350 off a Full HD Internet Plasma TV, 3D Ready with Freeview HD; 50% off selected Breil watches; 44% off selected Lola Rose jewellery; over 45% off selected LEGO and 64% off selected D&G shirts.
