Luxembourg – 21 July 2011: Amazon.co.uk has announced the launch of Textbooks Trade-In, part of the Amazon.co.uk Trade-In Programme (www.amazon.co.uk/tradein), enabling customers to exchange unwanted textbooks in return for Gift Card credit to their Amazon.co.uk account. All textbooks can be sent to Amazon.co.uk free of charge.
"Textbooks are amongst the bestselling titles on Amazon.co.uk but many people only use them for a set period of time," said John Gahagan, director of books at Amazon.co.uk Ltd. "Now, with the Amazon.co.uk Trade-In Programme, customers have a great way to exchange unwanted items and save money on future purchases."
The continued popularity of textbooks is illustrated by the fact that the bestselling author of the year on Amazon.co.uk is currently textbook author Richard Parsons.
There are three simple steps to trading-in textbooks at Amazon.co.uk:
-Select Items – Search for eligible items to trade-in from over 22,000 textbooks
-Send Items Free of Charge– Print a delivery label and packing slip, package your items and post them at no cost
-Get a Gift Card – An Amazon.co.uk Gift Card will be deposited into your account within two business days upon receipt of the items
Trade-in prices are guaranteed provided the items are delivered postmarked within seven days of submission and received in an acceptable condition.
The Amazon.co.uk Trade-In Programme launched in December 2010 with the Video Games Trade-In Store which enables Amazon.co.uk customers to trade-in video game hardware and games in exchange for Amazon.co.uk Gift Card credit.
