Luxembourg, July 11, 2011 – Amazon today announced that Marketplace sellers can list their products across all its European websites using one seller account. With an Amazon Europe Marketplaces Account, sellers can make their inventory available across Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr and Amazon.it for a single monthly fee of £28.75.
"Our aim is to make selling on Amazon websites across Europe as simple as possible for all sellers," said Eric Broussard, Vice President of International Seller Services at Amazon. "Amazon's European customers will benefit from access to millions of additional products as a result of Marketplace sellers being able to list their items quickly and easily across Amazon's websites in the UK, France, Germany and Italy."
The Amazon Europe Marketplaces Account will be available for new and existing eligible sellers in Amazon's 'Sell a lot' programme over the coming weeks. Existing sellers will be able to log on to their Seller Central account to find further information and tutorials on how to make best use of the new functionality.
Amazon is also making it easier for sellers using 'Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA)' to reach an audience of tens of millions of customers across Europe. Using Amazon's European Fulfilment Network, FBA sellers can now store their products in an Amazon fulfilment centre in one country and offer them for sale on Amazon Marketplace across all Amazon's European websites. This means that sellers can store inventory in an Amazon fulfilment centre in the UK and sell products on Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de Amazon.fr and Amazon.it simultaneously. Orders received from any of Amazon's websites will be fulfilled from the seller's inventory in the UK and will be eligible for Amazon Prime and Free Super Saver Delivery on all of Amazon Europe's Marketplaces.
"With FBA, sellers benefit from Amazon picking, packing, delivering and providing local language customer service for all of their products," said Greg Greeley, Vice President of EU Retail at Amazon. "We are delighted to now offer a highly efficient and cost effective way for sellers to expand their business and reach millions of new customers across Europe."
