Luxembourg, November 12 2015: Amazon Fashion is launching a digital campaign across Europe to empower women to celebrate their differences. Directed by award-winning photographer and videographer, Rankin, the series of short films, titled ‘I Wish I Could Wear’, show women empowering each other to have the confidence to wear anything they want.
The films feature Ingrid, an Albino model, Ana, a plus-sized activist, and fashion blogger Marsha, aka London Tall Girl. These three women, who have publically overcome body insecurities, were paired with Fiona, Lauren and Natalie, who had posted messages on social media about issues with their weight, height and skin colour.
Fiona, Lauren and Natalie represent thousands of women who regularly take to social media to say that they wish they could wear certain clothes but don’t have the confidence to do so because of their body image. After meeting the style icons who have all experienced the same insecurities in the past, Fiona, Lauren and Natalie said they felt empowered to wear the clothes they had always dreamt of.
“We created this campaign with the hope that it would help to empower women to wear what they like, and not feel limited by their perceived flaws” said Siobhan Mallen, Content Director at Amazon Fashion EU. “It was important for us to involve Ingrid, Ana and Marsha – three strong and stylish women who dress for themselves and celebrate what makes them different. Rankin was the perfect choice to capture this.”
This latest digital campaign builds on Amazon’s ‘Don’t look like me, look like you’ advertising campaign featuring Suki Waterhouse, which encourages customers to celebrate their own personal style.
The ‘I Wish I Could Wear’ campaign can be viewed on Amazon Fashion’s European YouTube site www.youtube.com/amazonfashioneu and Facebook page www.facebook.com/AmazonFashionEU.
