LONDON – embargoed until 00:00 July 15th, 2015 - To celebrate its 20th birthday, Amazon is holding its first-ever Prime Day on Wednesday 15th July, offering Prime members thousands of exclusive Lightning Deals, with new deals starting as often as every ten minutes throughout the day. With more deals than Black Friday, members can enjoy thousands of bargains from sought-after devices and electrical items to popular beauty products, books and entertainment. Anyone can join Prime to start a free 30-day trial and participate in Prime Day by visiting amazon.co.uk/primeday.

“We’re offering Prime members more than double the number of deals that we offered last Black Friday,” said Christopher North, Managing Director at Amazon UK. “Prime Day is another example of why Prime is a great deal. We’re celebrating our 20th birthday and saying thanks to our Prime customers with these incredible bargains. We’re always trying to make Prime even better – just last month we launched one-hour delivery exclusively for Prime members in selected London postcodes.”

The Amazon.co.uk Prime Day Deals store (www.amazon.co.uk/primeday) will open at midnight on 15th July and will feature some of the year’s most incredible deals.
