London, October 6 2016: Amazon Fashion customers can now get their hands on a limited edition Georg Jensen jewellery collection featuring Gemfields' Rubies, available at www.amazon.co.uk/georgjensen. The five piece collection celebrates the iconic 1960's Georg Jensen Mobius shape and includes a Mobius pendant on chain (£550), Mobius pendant on silk cord (£700), Mobius stud earrings (£500), Serenity ring (£575), and Continuity ring (£350).

"Georg Jensen and Gemfields are both leaders in their respective fields - Georg Jensen for expertise in design and craftsmanship, and Gemfields as a leading supplier of responsibly sourced gemstones," said Julian Exposito Bader, Head of Vendor Management for Jewellery, Amazon Fashion Europe. "We are excited to bring together these expert minds for this limited edition collection and to make it available exclusively to Amazon Fashion customers across Europe."

Amazon.co.uk first started selling jewellery in 2007 and has built up a large portfolio covering everything from designer jewellery to wedding and engagement collections, gemstones, and diamonds. In 2015 Amazon launched exclusive jewellery collections from Solange Azagury-Partridge (a homage to her iconic ‘HOTLIPS' rings) and with Yunis & Eliza (a Hunger Games inspired jewellery collection). As well as the limited edition George Jensen X Gemfields Collection, Amazon customers can also browse and shop collections from Shouruk, Shaun Leane, Completed Works and Leivankash, all new to Amazon.co.uk for 2016 and available at www.amazon.co.uk/jewelleryboutique.

Gemfields' Rubies are sourced from Mozambique and the company is committed to conservation of the area. 20% of the profits from sales of the Gemfields collection are being donated to the Niassa Carnivore project1 an organisation that works to conserve lions and other large carnivores in the area. "This jewellery collection is perfect for stylish customers who value quality of design and responsible sourcing of precious stones," said Ian Harebottle, CEO of Gemfields.

About Gemfields
Gemfields plc is a leading supplier of responsibly sourced coloured gemstones and is quoted on the AIM division of the London Stock Exchange (ticker: GEM) where it is a constituent of the AIM50 index. Gemfields is the operator and 75% owner of both the Kagem emerald mine in Zambia (believed to be the world's single largest producing emerald mine) and the Montepuez ruby mine in Mozambique (one of the most significant recently discovered ruby deposits in the world). In addition, Gemfields also holds a 50% interest in the Kariba amethyst mine in Zambia, as well as controlling interests in various other gemstone mining and prospecting licenses in Zambia, Mozambique, Colombia, Ethiopia, Madagascar and Sri Lanka.
Gemfields' outright ownership of Fabergé, an iconic and prestigious brand of exceptional heritage, enables Gemfields to optimise positioning, perception and consumer awareness of coloured gemstones, advancing the wider group's "mine and market" vision.
Gemfields has developed a proprietary grading system and a pioneering auction and trading platform to provide a consistent supply of quality coloured gemstones to the global downstream markets. This is a key component of the Company's business model which the Directors believe has played an important role in the appropriate distribution and associated resurgence of the global coloured gemstone sector.
