London, 14th November 2016 – Beginning at 00:01 on Monday 14th November, Amazon.co.uk customers can get an early start on their Christmas shopping with thousands of deals available during The Black Friday Sale. Deals run until 23:59 on Friday 25th November, with new products becoming available as often as every five minutes.
Christmas shoppers can take advantage of thousands of deals on a range of must-have products from day one of the sale, available while stocks last. There will also be ‘Lightning Deals’ introduced throughout the sale - products available at a discount, in limited quantities, for a short period of time. Amazon Prime members, including customers enjoying a free Amazon Prime 30-day trial, have an exclusive 30-minute early access period to all Lightning Deals.

More than a thousand Amazon Marketplace sellers are participating in The Black Friday Sale, offering double the number of deals compared to last year, providing customers with an even larger selection of offers on great gifts for friends and family.

These offers will be available for Prime members in eligible addresses covering more than 30% of the UK population and provide an ideal selection of gifts, gadgets and Christmas treats which can be delivered in under 60 minutes for £6.99 or in a two-hour delivery window of your choice at no extra cost.
Black Friday, which falls on Friday 25th November this year, has become a highly-anticipated date in the UK shopping calendar. Last year, more than 7.4 million items were sold on Black Friday (Friday 27th November 2015), at a rate of 86 items per second.
