Luxembourg – Thursday 13 April, 2017 – In anticipation of their upcoming album For Crying Out Loud, and ahead of Leicester City FC’s crunch Champions League fixture with Atlético Madrid at the King Power Stadium, die-hard Leicester City FC fans Kasabian will look to emulate their heroes in an exclusive FIFA 17 online gaming event hosted by Amazon Music. Fans around the world will be able to enjoy the event live as it is streamed live from the Twitch studios in London on Monday 17th April. The band will be hoping to play their way to victory and inspire the club for their crunch second-leg game the following night.

Before the ’game’, band members including Tom Meighan and Serge Pizzorno will take part in a live Q&A discussing the new album, due for UK release on 5th May and available for Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers to stream and download. All the action from the game and Q&A will be streamed live on social video platform Twitch, which fans across the world can watch exclusively at twitch.tv/kasabianhq from 7.00pm BST.

As an extra-time treat for fans, Kasabian will then take to the stage for a special performance at London’s Kentish Town Forum on Wednesday 19th April, performing tracks from their hotly anticipated sixth studio album. The exclusive gig will also be live-streamed on Twitch for fans across the world to watch exclusively at twitch.tv/kasabianhq from 9.00pm BST. The band will be performing a series of intimate shows as they gear up for the release of For Crying Out Loud, which will be available on Amazon Music Unlimited from Friday 5th May. It’s the perfect chance to see the band in such intimate settings before their headline slots at Reading & Leeds and TRNSMT festivals this summer.

"Seems only right to get stuck in on FIFA ahead of the Leicester game. Hopefully, we can make life imitate art for a win in the Champions League too,” said Serge Pizzorno from Kasabian. “What a way that would be to kick off our run of intimate shows at the Kentish Town Forum. We're buzzing to play our new tracks live to fans in such a small venue, it's going to be incredible.”

For Crying Out Loud will be available to stream on Amazon Music Unlimited on release date (5th May) and fans can also pre-order the album on CD, vinyl and MP3 from the Amazon Music store now. Amazon Music customers can already preview and enjoy tracks You’re in Love With a Psycho and Comeback Kidfrom the new album. Both tracks can be streamed or downloaded for offline playback now on Amazon Music Unlimited and Prime Music.

“It’s no secret Kasabian are as passionate about Leicester City and football as they are about music, so we’re excited to help them fulfill a dream of playing in front of a global audience,” said Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music. “The band are one of the most thrilling, exciting acts in British music so we’re proud to help bring these global gaming and concert experiences to millions, along with giving Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers access to enjoy tracks from their new album.”

"This event perfectly represents how Twitch has expanded beyond being a destination solely for live streamed video game content into a broader platform for other industries, such as music and sports, to connect with fans," said Jason Fletcher, Director of Marketing, EMEA at Twitch. "Thanks to Amazon Music, seeing Kasabian face off on FIFA 17 against two Twitch personalities in one explosive gaming, sports, and music show on Twitch is a testament of our community's power to bring shared interests together."
