London – 24 January 2018 – A nationwide poll of 10,000 consumers has ranked Amazon number one in customer satisfaction amongst all UK companies, the fifth time in a row that Amazon has received the accolade. To say thank you, Amazon is offering £10 off selected orders over £50 placed today. This can be redeemed by entering the promo code BIGTHANKS at checkout.

Published twice each year the UK Customer Satisfaction Index (UKCSI), run by The Institute of Customer Service, asks customers to rate their experiences of individual organisations across 13 sectors across a range of 30 metrics, from professionalism, quality and efficiency to problem solving and complaint handling.

“We really appreciate the positive feedback from customers and we will keep working hard to meet the high standards our customers expect from us,” said Doug Gurr, UK Country Manager, Amazon. “We will continue to improve the service we offer and we are confident our investments in the UK will help us provide an even better shopping and entertainment experience for our customers in 2018.”

Over the last year, Amazon reached the milestone of offering over 250 million unique products available on Amazon.co.uk and the Prime membership celebrated its 10th anniversary in the UK. Prime members also benefitted from the third annual Prime Day, giving them access to hundreds of thousands of deals across 30 hours.

Amazon also invested further in Prime Video, announcing a ground-breaking new behind-the-scenes documentary following Premier League leaders Manchester City and premiering season 2 of its most popular show, The Grand Tour. The company also launched Amazon Channels, a service offering more than 40 subscription TV channels for Amazon Prime members. Amazon Music also enjoyed an upgrade with the integration of Alexa into the Amazon Music app on iOS and Android. Meanwhile, Amazon continued to roll out a series of exciting devices with the all new Amazon Echo joined by the Echo Plus, Echo Show and an all new Fire TV stick with 4K Ultra HD.

Jo Causon, CEO of the Institute of Customer Service, said: “While high performing organisations act as an exemplar for others they cannot become complacent.  The temptation might be to hold back in economically uncertain times, but for organisations to maintain momentum and benefit from long-term returns, they must continue to invest in customer service and place it at the heart of their business strategy. We know that where satisfaction is maintained, organisations will see a direct link to turnover, growth, profitability and productivity.”

The £10 off £50 offer is available on products sold by Amazon retail including AmazonFresh, Amazon Pantry and Prime Now. It cannot be redeemed for selection product such as those sold by third-party sellers on Amazon Marketplace, Amazon Gift Cards, video games, baby formula or digital content.
